Africa, a continent close to my heart. A place where I can turn my busy brain off to let creativity and inspiration flow. 

Years ago, while being on a photography trip with the San Bushmen in Namibia, I met Annie, an 80 year ‘old’ lady from Paris. A sculpturist. She told me she never brought her camera. She simply observed and once back in her studio in Paris, she started working on her sculptures. It was the best lesson one could have taught me. I started developing a deep fascination for the skills, knowledge and stories of the San Bushmen people in this harsh and remote part of the world. 

I‘m currently working on a photography book, which is my tribute to the San people, who are living encyclopedias of unique and ancient knowledge of the natural world.
